Explore the main reports available within our financial, workforce and business sections in foundU
Reporting in foundU can be performed from various sources, including exports from numerous functional pages. This article will emphasise some of the key reports available on the Reports pages and provide more detail.
The reports accessible in foundU are grouped into 3 categories:
- Financial reports
- Workforce reports
- Business reports
You can restrict an admin's access to any of the 3 reporting categories, but not to individual reports.
Please note: The reports listed below are some of the most commonly used, but this is not an exhaustive list.
Financial reports
The Standard or Advanced Payroll Activity reports are some of the most commonly used in foundU. They are used to report on processed payroll data across whatever time period you specify.

The Labour Management Report is used to report on your timesheet data. You can break the data down further to include shift details, which is often used in pre-payroll reporting.

The Position Changes Report displays all the position details for all employees, including their start & end dates and pay rates.

You can report on both processed and unprocessed deductions. Processed Deductions will return all deductions within the timeframe that have been processed on payslips. Unprocessed Deductions will return what is remaining on deductions applied to employee profiles.

The STP Report provides all the data that has been sent to the ATO through Single Touch Payroll. This report is most commonly used at EOFY as a part of the reconciliation process.

The Payroll Ledger Export is used to obtain the data required for import into Xero. The use of this report is dependent on the payroll ledger mapping having been configured first.

The Leave Activity & Balance Report is used to retrieve movement and liability information and can be used to predict future balances.

The Variance Report allows you to easily compare your current draft or generated payslips to past pay periods to capture any changes between them. This report is often used as part of your pre-payroll checks.

Workforce reports
This report allows you to view the attendance and performance codes that are marked against employees when declining shifts or adding leave. This report is often used when reviewing employee behaviour and in conjunction with performance management.

This report is used to retrieve information about documents sent to employees that require their signature. It is commonly used to determine which employees haven't signed contracts or other official documentation.

The Expiring Documents report will provide the expiry information on licenses, qualifications, and inductions added by employees.

At any time in their employment, employees can be prompted to acknowledge various policies and T&Cs. You can report on these T&C acknowledgements with the Terms & Conditions report.

foundU has an integration with the Department of Home Affairs for the purpose of checking visa information of applicable employees. The Visa Check List reports on all employees' visa information, including expiry dates & status.

The Terminations Report allows you to view information associated with an employee's termination. This includes internal comments left by admins during termination, as well as the employee's position at the time of termination.

Easily keep track of the status of all shift offers, ensuring that you are always up-to-date on which offers sent to employees have been accepted, declined, expired, or are still pending.

Business reports
Admin users can add comments to employee profiles. These comments are not visible to employees and are often used in an HR capacity. The Manager Activity report will retrieve the notes applied to employee profiles.
