See a year-to-date and detailed view of pay allocation submitted via STP per employee
The STP report is a comprehensive report that provides a detailed view of the pay allocation submitted through STP for each employee. This report also includes year-to-date information, allowing you to easily track pay allocations over time.
This report can be used to cross-check any STP submissions that are still pending submission to the ATO. Additionally, it can help you identify the reason for any discrepancies in case you encounter difficulty reconciling with the Advanced Payroll Activity report.

The STP report shows a detailed view of an employee's pay allocation and data that has been sent to the ATO over the financial year, along with previous financial years. This report, along with the Advanced Payroll Activity report, is used to reconcile.
Some important things to note with this report:
- This report is updated every time an STP submission is created via Pay > Single Touch Payroll and will show a status based on the status of the STP submission. The statuses are Pending, Submitted and Complete.
- When this report is generated, it displays the data on a 'cash basis'. This means the data is based on the payment date shown on payslips, not the period-end date.
- The definition of Gross in the STP report is not the same as in the Payroll Activity report.
To generate the STP report:
- Navigate to Reports > Financial and under Payroll Reports select the STP Report.
- In the STP Report setup section, choose the following:
- Next, toggle your Display options to customise your reporting display, adapting it to your specific needs and preferences and select Create Report to generate your data.
- You will now see your results. As this report now has an enhanced employee YTD breakdown, you now gain a deeper insight into employee YTD figures.
- With your reports and generated data, you have the following capabilities within the report:
- Search via employee - Search for specific employees within your results.

Hide empty columns - Hide columns that have no data from the results.
- Adjust your display options - Select the Display icon to easily adjust your Display results within your report data.

Adjust your filter options - Select the Filter icon to easily adjust your filtered results within your report data.

Export - Export your report data either as a YTD summary or a YTD summary + payslip detail into a CSV file.

Enhanced Employee YTD Breakdown - Gain deeper insights into employee YTD figures by viewing line item details within the report to provide clarity and transparency across your payroll data.
Hot tip: Select the payslip ID to instantly access the employee's payslip.

Instant access to STP Submissions - Easily link to the STP Submission that last reported each event, ensuring easy reference and audit trail continuity.

To view the year-to-date (YTD) information of a specific employee, you don't have to generate the STP report.
Instead, you can directly access their Employee Profile and obtain the required details. This will save you time and effort, and provide you with a more targeted view of the employee's YTD information.
Viewing an employee's YTD information via their Employee Profile allows you to gain a nuanced understanding of earnings and contributions with our refined breakdown, categorising YTD figures by Paying Entity and Income Stream.
To view an employee's YTD information via the Employee Profile:
- Navigate to the relevant employee profile either via People > Approved People or the global search function.
- Once in the employee profile, navigate to the Financial tab and expand the YTD section. Here you will see your employee's YTD information.
- Within the employee's YTD information you can do the following:
