Learn about the various password options available for employees and admins, along with simple ways to reset them whenever needed.
Your password, along with multi-factor authentication, grants you access to the foundU platform.
When an employee or admin user has been set up for the first time in foundU, they will receive an email asking them to log in to their platform.
At the bottom of this email, there is a Reset Password option. Here, the employee or admin user can enter their email and create a secure password. However, in some cases, an employee or an admin may need assistance with resetting their password.
There are many options for resetting employee, admin or operation user passwords.
In this article, we will go through all your password reset options, including:
- Using the 'Forgot Password?' link from the login page
- How to reset a password on behalf of an admin or operation user from the Users page
- How to reset a password on behalf of an employee from the Employee Profile

If your employees or admins don't know their current password, they can use the 'Forgot Password?' link on their login page to reset it.
To reset your password from the login page:
- Select 'Forgot Password?'.
- They will be prompted to enter the email address that they used to register their foundU account. For admins, this will be the email that they use to log into foundU.
Please note: If the employee/admin is unsure which email they used, they'll need to contact you, the administrator. You can see their email in their Employee Profile on the Overview page for employees, or in Platform Settings > Users for admin/operation users.
- They will then be prompted to choose how they would like to reset their password. This will be either via SMS or Email (depending on your platform set up).
- They will receive an email or SMS with their five-digit verification code (depending on the option selected).
- Enter the verification code.
- Enter a new password (8 characters, including at least one capital letter and symbol) and select 'Confirm'.
- They will then be redirected to the login screen and will need to use their email and new password to log into the platform.
If an admin or operation user has forgotten their password and is unable to reset their password from the login page, another admin user can reset their password on their behalf from the platform.

To reset an admin or operation user's password:
If an employee has forgotten their password and is unable to reset it on the login page, you can do so on their behalf from their Employee Profile.

To reset an employee's password from their Employee Profile:
- Navigate to People > Approved People, locate the desired employee, or use the search bar in the top right to search for your employee, then select their name to open their profile.

On the Overview page, navigate to Manage > Reset Password.
- This will send the employee an email with a link allowing them to reset their password. This email will also be recorded against their profile under the Comms menu.
- The employee will use the link in the email to re-enter their email and reset their password.
