How Flare can benefit your employees & your business

If you're looking for an Employee Benefits tool to help increase the value of your business to your employees whilst saving employees money, Flare may be a great tool for your business.

Create an account with Flare

If you'd like your employees to start benefiting from using the Employee Benefits provided by Flare, you can create an account straight through your foundU platform! Once your platform is connected to Flare through the Integration Centre, you'll be able to explore the program's benefits via the admin centre, and a Flare representative will be in touch to discuss your account.

  Hot tip: Remember Flare is completely free to your business and for your employees. We at foundU have covered the cost to provide you with added benefits for your foundU service!

To connect your initial integration:

  1. Navigate to the main menu > Integrations > Integration Centre.
  2. Using the menu on the left, locate the relevant category by selecting the Benefits. 

      Contact us: If you cannot see Benefits as one of the options in the Integration Centre, please reach out to us in Support at help@foundu.com.au  so we can enable the option for you.
  3. On the Flare Employee Benefits tile, select Connect.

  4. You'll then view the high-level benefits of this free service before deciding to complete the connection with your platform. Select Next when you are ready to continue.

  5. Read and agree to the Flare terms and conditions by ticking the 'I accept the terms and conditions' box and select Connect to complete your account.

  6. Your Flare Benefits account has been created with you as the connected admin.

As a foundU customer, you can expect Flare to contact you within 3-5 business days to finalise the specifics of your accounts. While interacting with Flare, you'll have the chance to make minor adjustments to your account, such as content curation, since you might not want all benefits accessible to your employees.

Once you have finalised your connection, you can access the Employee benefits menu from the side main menu.

  Hot tip: As soon as you connect your Integration, it's a good idea to check out the Employee Benefits menu to see what will be offered to your employees via the Benefits menu in their Employee App.

 

Pause the Employee benefits integration

When you have connected the Benefits program, it will be immediately available to your employees in their Employee App.

You may like to Pause the Integration in the following use cases:

  • To speak with Flare about refining the employee offering before rolling it out to employees.
  • To allocate time to communicate the program to your employees effectively.
  • To have a break from the program.

There is no need to pause at all, as employees may want to use the Integration immediately. However, if you wish to pause for any reason, you can.

To pause Employee Benefits:

  1. Navigate to the main menu > Integrations > Integration Centre > locate Employee Benefits.
  2. Select the Connected button, then select Pause Integration.
     

This will suspend the Integration and hide it from your employees in the Employee Portal. When you are ready to resume, please select the Paused button to resume your initial account.

  Hot tip: It is preferred to use the Pause and Resume Integration option rather than disconnecting the Flare Integration so that your account details and login stay intact.

Accessing employee benefits

Once you have finalised your connection, the Flare Benefits scheme will be immediately available to both admins and employees. This can be accessed from the admin portal and the Employee App.

  • Admin access is via the Employee Benefits menu from the main menu on the side.

What is the cost of using Flare for my business?

There is no cost at all! Flare is free for your business to use as well as completely free for your employees! In fact your employees will be saving money by shopping and using the benefits through the scheme.

Any and all costs for Flare are covered by us at foundU as part of our partnership with Flare!

What information flows from Flare into foundU? Will I be able to see which benefits my employees are using and interested in?

No information flows from Flare into foundU at all, making it seamless and easy for your admins. Flare protects the privacy of your employees and the use of the program, if you'd like to know what benefits your employees are excited about - it's best to have a chat with them about it!

If you'd like to know the most used Flare Employee Benefits in general before connecting your account, you can chat with Flare customer support!

We do know the major grocery store stores (Coles and Woolworths) are a hit with our employees at foundU though!

What information from my foundU platform flows into Flare?

If an employee decides to access Flare, they will need to provide their name, email and mobile phone number for verification purposes. 

Those details are also used to link transactions on the benefits platform to the employee making the purchase. 

No other details flow from foundU into Flare. ie. No payroll information flows to Flare.

Some Flare benefits offerings are not suitable for my employees due to their age or employment type. How can I request that an offering be removed?

If you'd like to tailor your Flare benefits offering, please get in touch with our foundU Support team and we can forward your details to the correct department at Flare.

I've connected my account to Flare, but I haven't heard from them about it yet. What should I do?

Flare should get in touch within 3-5 business days of the account connection. If you don’t require any content curation and they haven’t contacted you, then you’re unlikely to need to speak with them at all. However, if you do need to speak with them and they haven’t reached out yet, you can either contact Flare support via their website or reach out to our foundU support team, and we can inform Flare to get in touch with you.

How do I enable it for my employees?

Once your Flare account is setup, all of your employees will be eligible to access the benefits via the Benefits button in their Employee App. This makes it a seamless option for your admins and employees!
