Better Reporting on Leave is here!

Better Reporting on Leave is here!

We're excited to announce two significant enhancements to our Leave reporting capabilities. The first is the introduction of the new Leave Liability and Movement Report, offering more accurate insights and streamlining your leave management process further. The second, 'Leave' data has been seamlessly integrated into the Labour Management Report. Read on to learn more about these exciting updates!

New Leave Liability & Movement Report

We have reworked how we report on leave to provide you with accurate insights and streamline your leave management process. Here's what you can expect from our new Leave Report:
  • One-Stop-Shop: Explore leave liability and movement reporting with updated logic that will provide you with richer information about your leave data.
  • Enhanced Balance Prediction: Gain more accurate predictions about employee leave balances for future dates, allowing you to plan more effectively.
  • Simplified Liability Comparison: Easily compare liability based on previous pay events with predicted balances for upcoming dates, making it easier to identify discrepancies.
  • Leave Movement Breakdown: Gain a detailed overview of leave movement for each employee during any given month, empowering you to analyse leave trends.
  • Customisable Termination Settings: Set defaults for leave payouts upon termination while still having the ability to report liability for all leave types.
  • Export Options: Choose to export either leave balance and movement totals or a detailed breakdown of all movement events based on your reporting needs.

To find the report, head into your Financial Reports, and scroll down until you see the Leave Report. Don't worry, the old Leave report will still be there if you need it.

Labour Management Report: New 'Leave' Data Columns

We're excited to announce that new 'Leave' data columns have been added to your Labour Management Report. The inclusion of leave in this report means:
  • Clearer depiction of timesheet reporting
  • Enhanced pre-payroll reporting capabilities
  • Facilitates daily reporting of hours, including leave details
  • Provides a clearer understanding of company payroll and labor costs before payroll processing
  • Total hours will now include hours of leave
Please note that this change will alter the column headers of this report, potentially impacting any external reports that are based on this one. Click on the screenshot below to see the changes up close. And here is an example spreadsheet which includes the new 'Leave' related column headers.

We have also renamed some of the column headers (the order has not changed):
  • Total Hours Standard = Ordinary Hours
  • Total Pay Standard = Ordinary Time Earnings
  • Total Hours Overtime = Overtime Hours
  • Total Pay Overtime = Overtime Paid
