Paid Parental Leave and WorkCover Changes

In line with the requirements for STP Phase 2, there is a change to processing WorkCover and Paid Parental leave handling within the platform. Where employees miss work on WorkCover, or are on Paid Parental leave, an entitlement will need to be created and used to correctly report these payments. You may have been using a pay item for these in the past, this can continue only for cases where an employee is working and still receiving WorkCover payments.

Check out the instructions below on what you need to do, and how to manage Work Cover and Paid Parental Leave payments moving forward.

1. Paid Parental Leave Set Up

If you haven't already, you will need to set up Paid Parental Leave as an entitlement.

2. WorkCover Set Up

If you haven't already, you will need to set up WorkCover as an entitlement.
