Release Notes - October 2023

Improvements & New features 

  • Roster: Positions View - Employee Name or Position will display based on user view preferences.  Users now have more control over what information is displayed on rosters. 
  • Positions export report - only the employee’s current position will display in the position column. The employee’s current position has been removed from the additional position column. Also, the positions are now ordered correctly.
  • People in work report - now includes archived employees to give a more accurate number of employees for past dates.  Also added a multi-selector filter box so users can filter the report by active, declined, and archived employees. 
  • Reimbursement permissions - updates to the permissions for reimbursements mean that only admins can manage and authorise reimbursements within Approved Shifts. 
  • Allow Super Guarantee (SG) minimum value to contain cents - an admin user can now set a minimum SG value on an employee to decimal places. 
  • Download payslip PDFs when selecting all results - on the generated payslips tab, when a user chooses the select everything option, they can now download payslips PDFs as an option.  Previously this was only available when using the checkbox select.  
  • Classification drop-down in position edit searchable - when editing position rules, the list of classifications is now ordered alphabetically and able to be searched.
  • Empty State Updates - Emoji empty states have been updated with new custom imagery for consistency across devices and browsers. 
  • Faster load times for Approve Shifts - improvements to API calls on the Approve Shifts page mean faster load times for admins.  
  • Improved roster display functionality - the pin empty rows toggle now updates the information in the roster dynamically.  Users no longer need to toggle on/off and then reload the page manually to update the roster information. 
  • People in Work Today report - blank statuses are no longer showing in the People in Work Today report. 
  • Advanced employee import (CSV) - SSO emails have been added to the advanced employee importer for companies who use work emails. 
  • Clickable area above rosters - the clickable area above the rosters has been removed. Users were accidentally clicking on this area and landing on a blank roster page which caused confusion. 
  • Allowances in the Employee App - employees can now input per KM allowances on portrait and landscape view in the Employee App. Previously the ‘Qty’ button was not clickable on portrait view. 
  • Basic employee import (CSV) - office code and manager name have been added to the basic employee importer. Both inputs are optional but must be longer than 2 characters. 
  • Employee filter on Payslips and Time Off page - both the payslips table and the leave applications table now contain an employee filter in the filter drawer. The filter supports multi-select so several employees can be filtered.  
  • Updates to Leave applications table - the table now supports the select all on page or everything option, so users can more easily produce a CSV download of required data. Other improvements have been made to retain already selected requests when using the search or moving to the next page of results on the table.  
  • Display PDF for Medicare and withholding declarations - when an employee completes the Medicare levy or withholding declaration, a PDF will now be available to view in the same way as a TFN declaration in the Tax section of Employee Profile.  
  • Contractors - applied logic to prevent contractors' payslips from being able to be generated. Users will still be able to interact with the draft payslips for contractors as expected (and drafts are still generated for invoicing purposes) but, users will no longer be able to process these payslips.   

Bug fixes 

  • Active shifts not appearing in award test results - fixed an issue where currently active shifts would not appear in award test results when the “included unapproved shifts” option was chosen.  
  • Update the Manager Selector on Employee Profile - the selector used for manager allocation on the Employee Profile was old and allowed blank data to be saved in error. This has been updated.   
  • Expiry Notification Email Formatting - fixed a bug that was causing the expiry notification email to format incorrectly and show additional coding. 
  • Fair Work Information Statement - The Fair Work Information Statement has been updated to the newest August 2023 version across platform files  
  • Fixed issue preventing partial day of leave on application - previously when the setting to allow a leave application to exceed work pattern was on, if a user entered a partial day of leave on a non-work pattern day, this setting was not respected, and would prevent user submitting. This no longer occurs.  
  • Payslip history on first version of monthly payslip - monthly payslips initial version now correctly appears as a system update in payslip history rather than a manual edit. 
  • Prevent immediate error notification on edit payslip - fixed the issue where the user would receive an immediate error warning to choose a redemption type when adding a new entitlement to a payslip. 
  • Prevent creation of a new entry in Time Off when payslip with leave edited - Fixed the behaviour where any edit to a payslip with leave would add a new entry to the Time Off table even when an original leave request existed. A new entry is now only added if the leave didn’t exist on the payslip before the edit.
