
So called ‘zombie’ agreements will be automatically terminated as of 7 December 2023.
What is a ‘zombie’ agreement?
Basically, the Fair Work Act of 2009 didn’t fully commence until 1 January 2010. So pre-2010 agreements that continue to operate today are called ‘zombie agreements’. However, as explained further here, many no longer cover anyone or have been replaced by enterprise agreements or modern awards.
