15% Minimum Wage Increase in Aged Care

As of 30 June 2023, employees covered by several awards in the aged care sector have been awarded a 15% pay increase by Fair Work: 

  • Aged Care Award 
  • Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry (SCHADS) Award 
  • Nurses Award 

It doesn’t apply to everyone under these awards, rather, workers in specific areas in direct care, and is effective from the start of the first full pay period on or after 30 June 2023.
