Release Notes - April 2023

Improvements & New features 

• Validation improvement when setting multiple meal allowances on positions - Users will now be alerted when trying to create two meal allowances for the same trigger hours.
• Pending shift import - Updated the pending shift import feature to remove the validation requirement to provide a performance and attendance reason when declining a shift. This updated functionality now matches how the interface handles declining a shift. 
• Archived and Terminated employee labels - Updated the Employee selector labels on the roster to include statuses of 'Terminated' and 'Archived'. When attempting to assign an employee to a shift, the shift, termination and archive dates will all be considered to display the appropriate label for the employee.   
• Update to award settings page - The look of the award settings page has been updated, this will be the framework for the look and behaviour of all settings pages.  -  In addition to wording updates to humanise settings please note:  Each section will track as one change in action bar with a status indicator showing all sections that have been edited.
• Introduction of function to pay overtime when a certain number of days are worked in a period and/or consecutively - In the newly created overtime section of award settings, a user can specify how many days worked in a period or consecutively before overtime is triggered. This allows automation of clauses found in some of our most common awards. 
• Reducing Ordinary hours in an adjustment payslip will auto-reduce leave accrual - Expanded the functionality of adjustment payslips to reduce the leave accrual for a period if the adjustment results in less ordinary hours paid to the employee. Previously increasing OTE would add extra accrual but if OTE was reduced an entitlement adjustment needed to be added on the same payslip. 
• Termination of leave type can be removed on processed payslip - Added the ability for a termination of a leave type to be deleted from a processed payslip for cases where this is done in error. The leave total will re-add to the employees leave balance after updating. 
• User session expiry - Implemented additional security protections for users who have access to financial and payroll data, that will automatically log the user out after 30 minutes of inactivity.
• Cost codes for a roster day - Implemented the ability for roster managers to set a unique cost code for all shifts on a single roster day. 
• Show archived by user and date with termination information when using cessation workflow - When a paid employee is terminated the set archived date will now show alongside the termination date.  

Bug fixes 

• Correct the token behaviour in bulk send emails - Fixed a bug that would not insert the email token at the place of the cursor in the email.  Token was being added to the front of the message.   
• Fix validation issues on all paying entities when entering ABA payment settings - A bug was occurring that would prevent validation errors showing for entities outside of default when entering ABA payment settings. Any fields that don’t meet requirements on any tab will now show a validation error on the ABA payment settings page. 
• Visa Check report - Fixed an issue with the Visa Check Report that was preventing users from sorting data by the Employee ID column. 
• Improvement to overtime displaying in award test when viewing extended periods - Fixed an issue that was leading to incorrect display of overtime for exceeding the max hours in a period when more than one period worth of results was being displayed. This award test page will now correctly assess the application of this type of overtime per period even when viewing several periods of results. 
• Position name in copy position model was incorrectly blocking special characters - When using the copy position option in award page, users will no longer be blocked from using the same special characters in the position name field that the system allows when creating a new position from scratch. 
• Position label saving in rates book template - Fixed an issue that was preventing a position label override saving in rates book templates. 
• Indicator light for invoice entitlements on operation corrected - When the quick setting for invoice entitlements is not on, the indicator light will no longer incorrectly show as on, on operation overview. The explainer text for this setting has also been updated.
