Release Notes - February 2023

Improvements & New features

  • Fair Work Information Statement - The Fair Work Information Statement (platform files) has been updated to the latest version across all platforms.
  • New Work Commencing Report Optimisation Improvements - The “New Work Commencing” report (Workforce report) has had some optimisation improvements to ensure a faster loading time for both the report and the CSV export.
  • Hourly Allowances can be set to apply to all hours and Super only apply to ordinary hours - An hourly based allowance that is set to apply to all hours (i.e include overtime) can now have Super only paid on the portion of the allowance that was based on ordinary hours.
  • The prompt to ‘add entitlements’ no longer displays when the employee already has entitlements - Previously finalising adding or editing of positions would display this check.
  • Under 18's will now move to a different exemption on Tax File declaration when they turn 18 - Under 18 employees that have chosen the under 18 exemption when providing a tax file number will now automatically move to the submitted application exemption when they turn 18. This gives them 28 days to provide a tax file number before moving to higher rate.
  • Compare real timesheet data to another position - The Award Test page now has the option to compare to another position when viewing one employee over a 1 or 2 week period. This allows a user to compare pay and interpretation across awards and positions based on real data.
  • Optionally hide leave name when using external calendar token - A new setting has been added to the external leave calendar token modal that will hide the name of the leave from any calendar using the token.
  • Validation has been added to the Platform Settings > Locations to prevent a user from being able to enter a blank location. Additional validation was also added to prevent a user from multiple clicks on the “add” button to prevent duplicates from being created.
  • Improved address validation for foreign characters - When entering addresses manually (not using Google lookup) each address line will now be validated to check for foreign characters to ensure valid addresses have been entered.
  • Leave that is auto-terminated through the Permanent to Casual conversion will not contribute to OTE hours – Now, regardless of the award setting, leave that is auto-terminated in a payslip when a permanent moves to casual,  will not contribute to the total for ordinary weekly or daily hours.
  • Advance Employee Importer: Tax File Declaration Update - To bring the advanced employee importer in line with the rest of the platform in relation to updates that have been made to the TFD, the advanced employee importer now requires users to enter specific codes in relation to tax file number exemptions. These codes are then pulled through to the employee financial > tax section, ensuring that the correct code is displayed in relation to the reason for the tax file number exemption.

Bug fixes

  • Pending Approval Document Fix - Documents in the employee profile that had been reviewed and signed were still remaining in a pending state. This behaviour has now been corrected and the documents will move over to a reviewed stage as expected.
  • Pinned Empty Rows and External Shift - When a user chooses the roster display options of “pin empty rows” and “show external shifts”, then the external shifts will also remain pinned on the roster display.
  • Background colour on the Visa Check report will persist when hovered on the row - a change to the table inadvertently caused the colour of the rows to disappear when hovered on.
  • Pay page action dropdown when filtering to a single employee -  A bug has been fixed where, when filtering to a single employee in the Pay page, the action dropdown was cutting off the “Show Breakdown” option. This has now been fixed so users will be able to once again navigate to the Award Test page directly from the pay page.
  • Pay page overview now showing LWOP hours in the total after allowance import - Fixed a case where the total hours on the pay page would not include LWOP hours after an allowance or deduction import was done to the payslip.
  • Rate labels only used for break not taken penalty can no longer be removed - Like all other rate labels, any that are only used by a position rule for break not taken penalty can now correctly not be deleted.
  • Shift Import Upload Message - Fixed an issue that was causing an 'Upload complete' message to display prior to the shift import file upload being completed.
  • Future dates for DOB - Fixed an issue in the employee portal that was allowing employees to select a date of birth in the future.
