Improvements & New features
- Break times added to csv export – The csv export option from Approved Shifts now includes options for break clock and break approve times.
- Update calendar component on reports – You may have noticed most reports now have the new calendar component, and you’ll soon see every report in the platform updated to this. The new component is much easier to navigate backwards in time quickly. Additionally, selecting a date in the following month is far easier and no longer requires selecting the next month to select a date.
- Award settings have been updated to make configuration easier. Award options are now ordered to make configuration more logical. Additionally, Rate labels have been split from settings to their own menu.
- Updated a number of the confirmation notifications for actions on the roster (copy a shift, create a shift, copy a roster, etc).
- Implemented floating action bar on the roster when selecting multiple shifts. Initially this will be utilised for copying shifts, or deleting shifts. With more actions added over time. Multiple shifts can be selected by holding shift on the keyboard and selecting individual shifts.
- Improved validation on award classification naming – Users will no longer be able to save classifications containing special characters, short names will continue to allow special characters. Special characters were resulting in errors in certain cases and have been removed from existing classification names to prevent further issues.
- Invoices Export – Two additional fields have been added to the invoice export – Office Code and Status (paid, unpaid etc).
- Implemented Cash Basis Tooltip – A tooltip on the reports will now help explain what ‘Cash Basis’ means to users.
STP Phase 2
- The ATO now require a lot more information when it comes to what employees are being paid. Part of this project has been to implement new reporting categories against Allowances, Leave, Deductions and more. These reporting categories are not currently mandatory, we simply want to encourage our customers to get started setting up the reporting categories for STPv2 prior to transition. New reporting fields are being gradually introduced within the platform specific to STPv2. Any new fields or required fields will have the red ATO pill next to them.
- Implemented re-defined STP categories in pay item/allowance set up - STPv2 has introduced the concept of disaggregation of gross to separately identify and assess the treatment of payment types. All allowances are now required to be reported separately under a specified category. The first change will be in Pay Items and Allowances where an admin will be able to specify the new STPv2 reporting category.
- Introduced mandatory STP Cessation Reasons - The ATO requires a cessation reason to be reported through STPv2 when employees are terminated. Reporting of the cessation reason will minimise the need for employers to provide separate Employment Separation Certificates to Services Australia.
Bug fixes
- Fixed issue with no pay positions on Labour Management report.
- Fixed issues with onboarding components incorrectly validating and not respecting tags applied to the components. This was preventing employees onboarding in specific cases where components were hidden but in some cases still requiring completion.
- Fixed an issue with the allowances field on shift create modal where when editing, the award name was not being displayed against the allowance.
- Fixed an issue with the clock log filter ‘Salaried only’ that when used would show employees who were formally salaried employees. Now the filter will display results based on employee status during the date range entered.
- Fixed a display issue on the timesheets modal that was preventing a user from scrolling when submitting shifts on behalf of an employee and using the copy functionality.
- Fixed an issue that would allow administrators to attempt to create an employee availability request without entering an end date. End dates will now be required to submit the form.
- Fixed an issue that was causing photos (timesheets) that were being uploaded on a phone being cropped incorrectly.
- Fixed an issue that was removing field values from the driver’s licence section during onboarding when a driver’s licence file was being removed.
- Fixed a minor display and usability issue with a date picker used in custom fields on the employee profile. The issue was causing difficulty in selecting certain dates.
